Our story begins with Felix himself, and the road that led him to open one of the most sought after BBQ restaurants with southern flair in San Diego county.
Growing up I remember my grandmother shelling peas and snapping green beans on the front porch. And in the fall the kitchen would be filled with the aroma of vegetables and fruit being cooked and canned for the pantry. That was the beginning of meal preparation and cooking from scratch for me.
Being from the South, the one thing you could count on when visiting relatives or friends was the fact that you were going to be fed.
A lot of people associate a good home-cooked meal as an integral part of Southern Hospitality and here Felix's has been our motto from the very beginning.
